Dawn Henderson @dawn.landix designed a delightful pair of Asali Socks for Issue 3 | Cables.
After a move to a new home knitting changed from a curiosity to a necessity. It seemed a logical hobby given the new climate in Colorado Springs. Knitting had now become a means of therapy, community and friendship.
As Dawn began exploring the slow fashion movement, she developed an interest in pursuing a ‘Slow Wardrobe’. Knitting had become an essential part of the creative process in the effort to create a more conscious and sustainable handmade wardrobe.
Although Dawn is new to design as a profession, her ultimate goal remains the same: “To create quality pieces that are long-standing, fit seamlessly into your existing wardrobe and are easy to wear.”
